The European Muslim Forum held its sixth extended board Meeting.
Today, on 1 June 2019 (27 Ramadan) in the city of Sliema in Malta, the sixth Board Meeting of the European Muslim Forum was held. The meeting considered the appeals of a number of Muslim organizations, in which anxiety was voiced for the fate of prominent Muslim scholars Shaykh Salaman al-Quda, Awad al-Qarni, and Ali al-Omari. Recently, many media outlets reported that immediately after the end of Holy Ramadan, the forementioned scientists would be executed.
In this regard, the leadership of the European Muslim Forum was adopted an address to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, His Majesty King Salman bin Abdul-Aziz Al Saud in which the EMF, on behalf of the Muslims of Europe, asked His Majesty to cancel the decision to execute these scholars, and instead to pardon them.
Also today the leadership of EMF participated in an Iftar event organized by the Malta Muslim Council. During the event the EMF delegation met the President of Malta Mr. George Vella who was present at the Iftar.
With respect and kind prayers,
The Board of the European Muslim Forum
